Pacific Philatelics was founded in 1993 after a culmination of twenty years of collecting. We started dealing on a part time basis in 1993, mostly doing small, local shows. We became a full time dealer in 1998 after working in the high tech industries of Silicon Valley for over fifteen years. We bring the knowledge and background acquired over thirty years as a collector, part time and now full time dealer.

We have participated in many stamp shows and bourses for seven years but have discontinued doing shows in the year, 2001. We are currently pursuing sales on eBay, and selling via mail order per customer want lists. We hope to expand this area of sales in the future via our eBourse.

We have concluded, like many other dealers, that the future of the stamp business lies in the Internet. We will be attending shows in the future, but only to buy. We will list the shows we plan to visit in order to allow customers also attending to inform us of their interests. We would then endeavour to bring material in their collecting areas for them to see.

We are life members of the American Air Mail Society, Military Postal History Society, Society of Austalasian Specialists/Oceania, Universal Ship Cancellation Society and the Friends of the Western Philatelic Library and members of the German Colonies Collectors Group and Canal Zone Study Group. We are also dealer members of the National Stamp Dealers Association, NSDA.
